Heckity hecking heck, school is busy. This wasn’t even the post I wanted to write for today – I had a cutesy little fashion post planned but my brain just does not want to write it! I now have a week before I fly back to the U.K. and my to do list is as long as my arm, quite frankly. I feel like I’m running around like a headless chicken, quite frankly, and I’m not enjoying it one bit.
I know that Christmas is meant to be a time of cheer and that December should be filled with happiness, but that’s honestly not realistic all the time. Yesterday I went into a full blown panic about how much was still on my to do list and how little time I have left here. So let’s get real, what has December and school meant for me? It’s meant PhD applications are due (just 2 more to go!), it’s meant that my TA hours have picked up and I spend a lot of my free time grading and running extra revision sessions. It means that all my papers are due before I fly home. I’ve just given a paper presentation and taken an oral comprehensive exam. I feel like I’ve not actually stopped to breathe and I honestly don’t know if I’ll get the chance to before I get on my plane home.
My room is a mess (a bit like my mind), my cupboards are empty and I’m lucky if I’m getting 5 hours sleep a night. But it’s all part of the college experience…right..?
