The Winter “To-Read” List – Blogmas Day 12

I am so ready to fly back home for winter break on Friday (should probably consider packing actually..). Not only am I looking forward to seeing my family and friends, some of whom I haven’t seen since January, but I’m looking forward to vegging out on my parents’ couch. To not having to do all that much for a few weeks after what can only be described as the most hectic semester of my life. My favorite thing to do while I’m chilling out is to read. So I thought I’d compile a little list of books that I’d like to get read over winter break..

The Beekeepers’ Daughter – Santa Montefiore: I bought this in the summer in LA, in the hope that I would read it on my plane back to Boston (spoiler alert, I didn’t..) and have been dying to read it since. I’ve read The House By The Sea by Montefiore and loved it, so I have high hopes for this one too.

Landline – Rainbow Rowell: Ok, so I bought this one over 18 months ago and just have not even had time to touch it. I love love love Fangirl Eleanor & Park, although that was when I was about 19, so I’ll be intrigued to see how I enjoy this.

The Great Gatsby – F. Scott Fitzgerald: Literally my favorite book of all time (it has been since I was 17), I just want to reread it so badly. Like so badly. I think my sister is also studying this for English at the moment, so maybe I’ll be nice and talk with her about it too (I’m good like that..!)

The Elephant Vanishes – Haruki Murakami: I picked this up in Barnes & Noble about 2 months ago in the hope that I would read it by the time break rolled around. However, this semester has kicked butt. Serious butt, too. This is a collection of short stories, so perfect if I only have an hour to read at home..

What’s on your to-read list? Let me know below!
