The festive eyeshadow palette of choice – Blogmas Day 18

Christmas, or even winter generally, is the time for glittery and dark, exciting eyeshadow looks. I know I’m definitely a sucker for them. But when I’m traveling back to my parents’ from the US, I don’t want to take a million palettes and singles. In fact, I feel like my capsule wardrobe has made its way over to my makeup collection if I’m being honest. I’ve managed to whittle it down to just 1 palette – the palette that I go to for Christmas parties, meals with friends and more over the festive season.

My palette of choice is actually an oldie but a goodie. It’s the Clarins Festive Eye palette. Every year they bring out a new one with a slight variation in colors, but it tends to be a mix of shimmery and matte nudes teamed with a non-nude (in this palette there’s a black-gray, and in last year’s palette there’s a deep purple). As well as this, there’s a chunky glitter shade in there too to allow for extra festive sparkle. You can create a multitude of looks with this palette – the simple everyday looks and the big, OTT looks perfect for NYE! Mine’s looking a little worse for wear (please don’t judge), but I have had it 2 years. I use it nearly everyday and I’ve barely made a dent. They’re pigmented and blendable and just oh-so lovely. Have I sold you, yet..?

What’s your go-to palette, or eye look (lashings of liner, perhaps?), this festive season? Let me know below!  If you’re new and liked this post, firstly hello! how are you?. If you really liked this post, why not check out my other posts (using the tabs at the top of the page) and hit the follow button for more?
