The Christmas Tag – Blogmas Day 21

The minute I saw this tag on ThreeBrits‘ blog, I knew I had to do it! There’s the introduction done and dusted in a sentence. Let me know your answers in the comments below, or tag me in your posts!

What’s your favorite Christmas film? I love Love Actually so much – I actually watched it with my friend and her husband the other day. I’m also a big fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas (watched that on the plane the other evening). Oh, and Elf!

Have you ever had a white Christmas..? Not that I’m aware of. At least, not in the UK. I think if I was still in MA right now, there’d be a pretty good chance of it happening..

Where do you usually spend your holiday? Christmas Day is spent with my parents and sisters. We chill, eat, unwrap presents, etc.. Boxing Day (December 26th for those who don’t celebrate) is where it gets a bit manic. About 12 of us (and a dog..) gather in my Nan’s kitchen for food, games and fun. It’s kind of crazy. I tend to spend time with friends before and after these days. Walks along the beach, meals out, etc., etc..

What’s your favorite Christmas song? Wham, ‘Last Christmas’ without a doubt. It played as my plane landed in Dublin the other morning, which made up for it being 5am UK time (12am EST) and my connection being delayed by three hours…!

Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve? No, of course not. Father Christmas hasn’t been yet!

Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer..? Rudolph, Dasher, Dancer, Comet, Vixen, Blitzen, Cupid, Donner, …….. um. I got 7?

What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year? Boxing Day Bingo at my Nan’s. My cousin started playing last year (we get competitive) and we’re going to be on a team together this year which should be hilarious. I’m so excited to get him into this weird family tradition!

Is your Christmas tree real or fake? Real! It was the first thing I smelt when I stepped into my house a few days ago..

What is your favorite holiday food of all time? Ok. Sweet is always going to be Terry’s Chocolate Orange. Savory? Probably the handmade potato chips my Grandad makes on Boxing Day!

Be honest: do you like receiving or giving gifts better..? I think giving. There’s something so great about it.

What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season? Australia. I kinda want to see what this hot Christmas thing is all about..

Are you a pro present wrapper of a pro failure.. ? I like to think I’m a pro wrapper. I put a lot of time and effort into making the gifts look good!

What made you realize the truth about Santa? Do you know what, I don’t even really know. I think it was the hushed whispers of friends, to be honest. I started to get suspicious and then asked my mum. It was all ok though, because my sister was still young enough to believe and by the time she had figured it out, my cousin was just about old enough to know that Father Christmas came on Christmas Eve. So really, I never had to stop believing..!

Do you make New Years’ resolutions..and do you stick to them? Yes – in fact, I have a post here about my 2017 resolutions. I try my hardest to stick to them, but let’s see how these ones go!
