Repurchasing Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfector

I bought the ever-beautiful Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop back in June. I bought it in Sephora at The Grove, L.A.. I loved it. I cared for it like a child. I used it every day. People loved my glow. I looked epic. It was well worth the $33, or whatever I paid for it. Then, one day, in November of last year, it shattered. Literally into dust on my floor. I still don’t know how it happened, or why. I cried. I held a little funeral for my beautiful champagne colored baby. But I couldn’t justify all that money on a new one, especially so close to Christmas. So I waited it out. I went highlighter-less for about 3 months. Until about 2 weeks ago, when I got fed up of not glowing and caved and bought a new one. Have I looked back since? Nuh-uh.

The thing I love about this highlighter is that it’s so finely milled and because of that I can control how highlighted my face is. I can be super subtle about it, or in your face glowing (it’s mood dependent). People comment on how healthy I look when I wear it (not sure what that says for my usual complexion, but…).

I love it on the tops of my cheekbones, a little on my nose, my brownness and my cupid’s bow. But I also love it swept across the eye, tying everything together on a minimal makeup day. It also lasts forever (unless it smashes..). By the time mine smashed, I’d had it 5 months, used it every day, and not even made a dent in it – it is that pigmented. So it’s totally worth that $35, or whatever.

Do you have any favorite highlighters? Or just makeup products that you’re totally in love with? Let me know below!
