Currently on my face.

I feel like I actually write these posts quite a lot, but people always seem to be really interested on what I’m plopping on my face on the daily. Now that spring (kidding, it snowed in Massachusetts today) is here, I tend to try and go for a lighter make up look, so today I thought I’d update you all on my current go-to products. If you follow me on Instagram, I bet you’ve guessed almost all of them already..

Starting with my base choices, I’m still loving my Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer and my Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream. If my skin is looking epic, I’ll pop on the Nars. If I need a bit more help on the coverage front, it’ll be the Bourjois. Sometimes I even use them both together – the Nars almost as a primer and a little Bourjois over the top. I actually use both products quite sparingly though; I’m really not about caking my face in makeup. When I need to hide a spot or blemish, I’m still turning to my Benefit Boi-ing Industrial Strength Concealear. While you can’t deny the coverage on this thing, I am on the hunt for a new one as it feels a little too drying on my skin (@ Sephora, I’m coming for you). Under eyes are still a Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Eye Cream job, too. Powder, too, is used sparingly. I much prefer loose powder to solid powder, mainly because I feel as though I have more control of how much I’m putting on my face and, for some reason, they sit better. Again, not much has changed here, and I’m still working through my Collection Sheer Fine Ultra Loose Powder

Eyes and cheeks, however, is where I’ve been changing it up a little over the past month. It’s probably no surprise (given how much I harp on about it on Instagram) that I’m using my Too Faced PB&J palette (sadly limited edition and gone now) almost daily to create my eye look. I even ventured into the shade ‘Jelly’ the other day. I’ve written multiple posts (see one here and another here) mentioning this bad boy, but to sum it up the shades are complementary to my skin tone, pigmented, and damn smooth. I’ve turned away from the classic black wing, and eyeliner more generally, and am instead focussing on my lashes big time. I’ve fallen in love with the Bourjois Volume Glamor Ultra Black mascara. It just does good things to my lashes without making them all clump together. Cheeks (or the rest of my face, really) start off with my latest obsession; the Bite Beauty Multistick in the shade ‘Cashew.’ I pop a teeny line of this super pigmented cream just above the hollows of my cheeks and I get a contoured blush effect which is something that I personally love. I’m also a big fan of how easy it is to blend out. I back up the contour effect with my go-to Rimmel x Kate Moss Sculpting Kit and add a little bit of Too Faced’s Beach Bunny Bronzer before adding a pop of highlighter in the form of my ever trusty Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Champagne Pop. Lips don’t really get their own chunk of post, because all I seem to be using is my trusty Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask in ‘Clear’ (see my latest blog post about Bite Beauty here).
