Yankee Candle Haul

Last weekend, after graduation and commencement on Friday, I took my parents to one of the two Yankee Candle headquarters in America. Luckily, I only live about 10 minutes away from Deerfield, so it’s a trip that I’m able to make quite often! My parents treated me to a few candles, so I thought I’d let you have a little sneak peek into what my room will be smelling like over the next few months!

The first candle I picked up was Summer Storm – it’s so unbelievably fresh! It has almost a cologne-like scent to it, but still some sort of floral scent, too. There’s also a little hint of citrus in there, as well. It literally does smell like a storm passing through in the summer months – that scent you get in the middle of a stormy downpour? Well, that is this!

I also grabbed Beach Walk: another extremely fresh scent for my room. I feel like, especially in the summer, I don’t want those cloying scents that you can get away with in the winter. This scent kind of smells like sea air – there’s definitely some kind of “green” note in there, too. One of my friends described it as “soapy,” but I think she’s lying. It really smells like you’re walking along a beach.

The final candle I grabbed was a mini size of Soft Blanket. I grabbed the mini size mainly because I wasn’t super sure on the scent – it’s not cloying, but it’s certainly not “fresh.” There’s some kind of vanilla and musk in there – it almost smells a little talc-like. This is going to be one that I burn carefully, I think – too much and I’m worried I might get a headache!

Have you grabbed any new scents for your room or house lately? Let me know below. For those of you who are new, be sure to explore my site and click the follow button for regular updates. For those of you who have been here for a while, thank you so much! Please feel free to leave suggestions about what you want to see here, too – I’m always open to new ideas!
