I feel as though it’s been a while since I’ve found a makeup product that’s turned my world upside down. However, Clarins have done it with their Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch.
Hardly a brand new product from the French brand, this pale pink mousse-like and spongey textured primer works to fill fine lines, wrinkles, and pores. Think the Maybelline Baby Skin Primer, but less wet and with a little more coverage.
The primer applies as a cream but sets matte, and provides a strong and sturdy basis for your foundation/concealer to go over afterwards. Though the product claims to be good for all skin types, I’d personally avoid it if my skin was super dry (it’s definitely gotten more oily since moving out to California!) as this is certainly not a moisturizing primer.
I love to use this product on its own on a no make up day, or as a base to my two favorite complexion products – the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream and the Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer. It really evens out my complexion like nobody’s business (see ya later, redness), and keeps my foundation in place all day.
