Fall has finally arrived here in California! The temperature has dipped, the leaves are turning all glorious shades of red, orange, yellow and brown, and chunky knits have never felt so appropriate. To keep my makeup in tune with the arrival of the new season, I’ve re-added a few bits and bobs into my makeup bag. Here’s what’s found its way back into my routine…
Bite Beauty Multistick in Cashew: I love to use this as a contour shade in the cooler months. There’s something about a cream contour, too, that is just so right in the fall and winter seasons. This cool tone brown with blue undertones can be blended out like nobody’s business, leaving the most subtle shadow under your cheekbones. Beware, though, this sets quickly, so work fast!
Clarins Blush Prodige in Soft Peach: I’ve taken to using this super subtle shimmery pink (not that shimmery though!) toward the back of my cheeks. If I put it on the apples, the moon face that I’d just worked so hard to counteract with contouring comes back in full force. And because I’ve taken to wearing a slightly darker eye at the moment, I find that this blush just really pulls my entire face together.
Bo\urjois Khôl and Contour in Black: Fall and winter are the seasons where I find myself reaching for black kohl eyeliner on the constant. This one, in particular, is super smooth and creamy (perfect for the waterline), and blends so well (especially useful for creating a soft smoky eye).
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Champagne Pop: After a few months without highlighter, it’s finally back in my makeup bag. It’s time for my skin to start looking healthy and glowy now that the heat has totally died down. I’ve taken to applying this with my fingers to avoid an un-natural look, and to avoid that stripe down the cheek!
